Murray Will Take Back Our State From Out-of-Control Sacramento Politicians And Make It Affordable To Live In Our Cities
SACRAMENTO, CA – U.S. Marine Corps Iraq war veteran, Michael Murray announced his candidacy for California State Assembly District 76. A liberty-minded Republican, Murray will fight taxes, defend personal freedoms, make our cities affordable, and put public safety first.
Murray gave the following statement, “With Governor Brown gone, the Legislature has chosen to give extreme handouts, increase taxes, and focus on virtue signaling. Sacramento politicians should have no place in policing how we live our lives. I'll fight to bring sanity back to government.”
He continued, “As a Marine, I understand what it means to put everything at risk to fight for our freedom. I've served my country in Iraq, and now I'm ready to do it here at home. We need to cut taxes, reduce regulations that strangle job creators and housing builders so we can start to solve the homeless crisis, especially for our veterans. I will always put our public safety first as that’s the number one job of government, but we’ve got to stop crime before it starts with better schools, after school programs, and vocational training to keep kids out of gangs in the first place.”
John Thomas, Chief Strategist for Michael Murray said, “A returning veteran who became homeless, Marine Michael Murray fought against all odds to carve out his success as a small business owner. Michael is a fighter who embodies leadership. We look forward to running an aggressive campaign to send him to California’s Capitol to bring back integrity and accountability.”
