Boosting jobs and the economy

As a small business owner, I know the unique responsibility that exists to bring jobs and economic growth to our community. We need policies that encourage economic growth, not hamper it. Sacramento continues to drive businesses out of the state at record rates. I'll fight against anti-business policies from Sacramento and I will oppose unreasonable government regulations that cause small businesses to fail or discourage innovation.

CRIME PREVENTION

I’ll put our public safety first and keep violent criminals behind bars. Crime has been on the rise because of terrible public safety policies like AB 109 and Prop 57. In this race, no one can hold a candle to my understanding and credentials on keep families safe but we’ve got to stop crime BEFORE it starts with better schools, after school programs and vocational training to keep kids out of gangs in the first place.

FIX OUR BROKEN EDUCATION SYSTEM

As a father of two young children, I see every day how important it is to put into place the educational building blocks on which future success is built. Our school system is completely broken and throwing more money at the problem isn’t solving anything. Education is a local issue – parents should have more authority and control over their children's educations. I support the expansion of well-run charter schools, and will work to see that state bureaucrats never achieve their goal of shutting our charter school systems down.

REDUCE THE TAX BURDEN AND MAKE CALIFORNIA AFFORDABLE

California has the highest gas taxes in America. These disproportionately hurt families who can afford it the least. Sky-high housing prices are tearing generations of Californians apart as our young families move out of state where the same house costs half the price. We need housing proposals to incentivize builders to create more housing that we can actually afford so our children can raise families in California just like we did.

Recent studies have shown that upward of 40% of housing price is due to regulatory burdens and permitting fees. We need to slash those. I’ll fight for CEQA reform. This law is abused by trial lawyers, unions and NIMBY folks to block and delay construction.

END VETERAN HOMELESSNESS

America is not fulfilling its promise to care for our veterans. Tragically thousands of veterans have died or become homeless while awaiting care - many suffered from mental illness. They served us; I’ll make sure we take care of them.

SERVING AS A VOICE OF REASON IN SACRAMENTO

Our State Legislature has got dramatically off track. With Brown gone the Legislature has chosen to give extreme handouts, increase taxes and focus on virtue signaling. I'll fight to bring sanity back to government and make California’s cities affordable again.
